RUNCORN SPRING HEAD

Runcorn's eights head is rowed on the lower reaches of the River Weaver in Cheshire.

No other river traffic, very little stream, little driftwood and great racing.

Usually the last week in February (this year on the 20th)

Ideal treaining and preparation for the Tideway.

6,000m for eights and quad sculls on the River Weaver from Pickering’s Lock to Sutton Weaver.

Only eights and J15 or above coxless quads allowed.
